Aubrey's Ice Cream Parlour 1st Birthday Party

My baby girl turned one recently and we threw her a big birthday bash.  She absolutely loves ice cream so we thought that would be the perfect theme for her party.  Together my mom and I went all out with the decorations!  Much of the inspiration came from Pinterest for this party!

Here is the entrance that my mom put together at the front door to welcome everyone to Aubrey's party.  The little wagon looked so cute.

The cake table. On the left is Aubrey's smash cake. I found a tutorial here to make a cake look like an ice cream cone. Mine turned out nowhere near as cute as hers did but since it was just going to get smashed and eaten by a one year old, I wasn't too concerned!  Above the table I also did a banner that had a picture from each month of our little peanut.  It was amazing to look back at those first few months...she looks so grown up now.

A close up of the milkshake inspired cupcakes. Since we were going with an ice cream parlour and build your own sundaes we decided a full cake was not necessary.  I embellished these on the top with a red gumball "cherry" and a paper straw.

My mom made these super yummy cake pops, made to look like mini ice cream cones.

So true!!!!

My mom's delicious sugar cookies. These things are to die for!  (do you think we had enough desserts????)

The Ice Cream Sundae Bar!

My mom made these cute ice cream decorations for above the food and the dessert table.  Such cute ice cream cones.

Ice cream pint favors. For the adults I filled these with candy and the kiddos got snacks, a light up ball, bubbles in the shape of either an ice cream cone or a popsicle, and gumballs.

I had so much fun planning this party but it was definitely a lot of work.  Thanks to all our family and friends who helped share this day with us celebrating our baby girl.  Another post will come sharing Aubrey's perspective of the day!
